As if to further prove my point about it getting uncomfortably cold, over the weekend, I found my cat sleeping under the duvet
on her own!

People always think it's weird that I get cold so early in the season, but I'm from Hawaii, so give me a break! Oh sure, I've lived in Spokane for about eight years, but look at the winters we've had in that time. Everyone says they've been inordinately mild.
Now that we're seeing highs in the mid- to high-sixties (we even had a couple of days last week in the high-fifties), I'm ready for jackets and gloves. I just broke out my leather jacket a few days ago, and I've put on my gloves to go to work the past couple of days (to be fair, I go to work around 5am, so it's still pretty darn cold then. I certainly don't need the gloves when I get off of work).
On Sunday Monday night, my wife and I replaced our Indian silk comforter with our goose down duvet. Now I'm nice and warm all night, but when I wake up, I don't want to get out of bed because the air in the bedroom is so cold!
Still, I do enjoy the winter months and I look forward to the snow every year. I don't know how to ski or snowboard, but I'm content to just play in the white stuff all day long. Give me a sled and a hill and I'll quite happily act half my age.
Most of the people I know who grew up around snow claim to hate it, but really, I suspect they just hate driving in it. What's your opinion on snow? Does the thought of it warm your heart or chill you to the bone?
